As an LGBT activist myself I have always admired you and thank you for starting the path to open service when I was still in High School. It looks like it is almost done with the DADT Repeal being signed into law this morning. The only thing missing is the "T" in the repeal but this was AMAZING progress. Thank you for being a role model for LGBT people all over the country and your tireless work for all of our community. I am part of the Sisters of the Mother House of Washington and hope to meet you in person at some point.

One step at a time and this baby step took 17 years. On the issue of T's serving, it should be taken up separately as a non issue once transition has taken place. In Canada, reconstructive surgery is even deal with through the military and then resumption of service.
