Mass. has a 1915 law prohibiting out of state residents to marry in Mass is still in effect so will have to go there first.

something tells me that this whole issue of marriage will end up in the supreme court. not becuase some people dont us to use the word marriage but becuase these people want us to have no legal rights in addition to not having marriage . That would deny us all rights . that wont fly under the consitution no matter how conservative the court. ladybowmt

Ha, isn't that ironic? How many states are now trying to have same sex marriage legalized? I tell you, it will come our way. It must come our way. This country was based on Equal rights. Let's hope they will pull through .

WA state is now legal for all but marriage, with the governor just signing bills for equal treatment, retirement, death benefits for state employees, Big celebration after lots of hard work. Need to take on the feds to overturn DOMA, overturn the Don't Ask, Don't Tell, retirement for dependents, etc. Perhaps it even will be in our lifetime now. grethe

State by state society is changing. Now the Feds have to change also as we work for equality. grethe
