The movie Serving in Silence is based on the book by the same name, coauthored with Chris Fisher.

 

The movie covers my fight to remain in the military despite disclosing I was a lesbian during a top secret security clearance interview.  It depicts the personal cost and intrusion into our family life, the my legal challenges when I was involuntary discharged.

The movie won 3 Emmy's: Glenn Close, best actress, Judy Davis, best supporting actress, Allison Cross best screen play. It also received the Peabody award.
